This is an easy 10 min walk to the beach through old growth Sitka spruce. Spend a day exploring cobblestone and sandy beaches, beautiful coves, sea caves, and overgrown remnants of a past community that lived and surfed on this beach for 30 years. If timing permits this hike can include a hike to a suspension bridge and hidden waterfalls. While enjoying a gourmet meal, take in spectacular ocean views, surfers, and frequent sea life passing through.

An easy 20 minute walk takes you to an isolated stretch of beach. This is truly a trip for those seeking a remote location to explore. At low tide, this rocky stretch of beach provides an opportunity to view some of the richest concentrations of coastal life on Vancouver Island, lush vegetation, and unique rock shelves that make up the beach. Spend a leisurely day exploring tidal pools, wave watching, and relaxing, or extend your journey for another 3 km to view beautiful Payzant creek nestled deep within the rainforest.

Walk across flat sandstone and granite outcroppings to explore extensive and unique crystal clear tide pools full of a rich variety of marine flora and fauna. A number of beautiful shoreline trails full of geographical marvels will take you from beach to beach. Spend a day exploring, enjoying gourmet food, and relaxing, while taking in splendid ocean views. Or if you wish for a more challenging hike, continue toward Payzant through gorgeous old growth forests.
